dude, I have some real horror stories with Charter. I'm so glad I'm out of their service area. When I left ATO, I cancelled my DVR service and returned the box. 3 months later, I got a bill for 3 months of service and an unreturned DVR for like $800. They had no record of me calling to cancel or receipt of my DVR. It took a few weeks to get it resolved.

FIOS is great. The service is great, too. This surprised me as I thought Verizon was much more monolithic than Comcast.

So I gather Charter is craptastic? heh
I hate cable companies - all of their procedures seem so ass backwards and inefficient you've got to wonder how they're managed. Instead of only wasting your time to pick up a box they have to waste the time of a technician and 4 more hours of yours? It's criminal.

They're out of stock and you can't call to check on stock because they get too many phone calls about it? What a lazy bunch.

I wish I had the opportunity to get FIOS too man.
