		<description>I love the idea of openid - but I&#039;ve only seen it in a few places (like basecamp) with aol already in the mix and yahoo adding it&#039;s userbase hopefully it will take off. I think the mere fact that this is taking place &quot;outside&quot; Microsofts influence is a great thing. I don&#039;t even think Google could get away w/ something similar nowadays if they went it alone.

The implications for ecommerce are awesome. Does it go beyond just a user identifier to support personal information exchange?</description>
